Free Diaper

Yes, I'm breaking my Blog sabbatical for a promotion. What can I say - I love cloth diapering. I would love to try a Gro Baby. All in One dipes are very convenient. I use mostly prefolds and covers because Ben doesn't handle synthetic materials well. From what I've read the Gro Baby is a combination between cloth and disposable. I'm very interested and would love to give it a try.

Check out this link http://www.thenaturalbabyco.com/grobaby%E2...2-ic-11_16.html for more information.

I have plans to return and attempt to summarize what has been going on around here including a couple of birthdays and a birth day. Henry arrived on May 26th and Daddy caught him. His delivery was a home water birth after 4 cesareans.

Conservatives seek divorce

I ran across this today on a blog I like to read www.mommylife.net . I thought it was too great not to share.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy!

Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.

We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,

John J. Wall
Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Barbra Streisand & Jane Fonda with you.

Christmas at Home

I think this is the first year that the kids got up on Christmas before Kent and I did. It was 7 am so they didn't do too bad. ;)
As part of everyone's gifts, I made matching pjs for the whole family. The boys pants are all a little big and have to be resized but they LOVE having matching pants with daddy.

Ben is ready to get started.

Madisyn's brothers gave her a new cowgirl outfit for her new American Girl doll.

Ty has really been enjoying his new Klean Kanteen water bottle and Narnia movie.

Griffin wants to know "What's next?".

Ben needed some help getting his new truck out of the packaging - heck! Mommy needed some help. LOL

Richardson Family Christmas

This year we planned to meet on the Saturday before Christmas to do our annual celebration. Unfortunately, Mom came down with a stomach bug so the date was pushed back. We had an excellent meal and then we started a new tradition - decorating a Gingerbread house. It was lots of fun!

Back Row: Uncle Justin, Aunt Kristen, Aunt Robin, Uncle Billy, Kent, Stacy

Front Row: Griffin, Madisyn, Mimi, Raegen, Granddaddy, Ben, and Ty

Then one with just the grand kids.

Even Raegen got in on the fun. I think he got to be pretty good at sneaking a few pieces of candy. ;)

Ben was more interested in eating the snowmen than decorating anything.

The finished product. We did let the each have a piece and then the rest went in the trash. LOL

Witcher Family Christmas

We had a great time at the Witcher Family Christmas celebration. We met at Nana and Papaw's house. Mamaw Witcher decided to stay in Wynne a little longer and we were able to celebrate with her as well. Uncle Phillip, Aunt Vicki, Brooke and Calen all made it. We were really sorry that Brooke's husband, Joey, couldn't come. Mamaw and Grandpa Lawrence and Uncle Kirk were in attendance so we had quite a crowd!

Everyone's favorite part - the meal!!!! It was excellent. After we ate the kids were very anxious to open gifts.

Do you think Griff likes being a "real" cowboy?

Ben has lugged that horse around everywhere - it's almost as big as he is!

If you want to make Ty happy, just make sure any gift for him has two words - John Deere.

Madisyn received and adorable pink purse with a barrel racer embroidered on it. She has gotten compliments on it while carrying it around town. LOL

Before anyone left we got some whole family shots. I LOVE my new camera. The self-timer can be set to take 10 pictures in a row. It's fantastic!

I'll try to identify everyone.

Standing :Aunt Vicki, Brooke, Uncle Phillip, Calen, Uncle Kirk, Kent, Stacy.
Sitting on couch : Mamaw Witcher, Papaw, Nana
On the floor: Ty, Griffin, Ben and Madisyn

Another family shot. This time with Nana's side of the family.

Back Row: Stacy, Kent, Griffin, Ben, Uncle Kirk
Sitting: Papaw, Nana, Mamaw Lawrence, Papaw Lawrence
Floor: Ty and Madisyn.

It isn't the gift

but what it means.

Kent and the kids got me this for Christmas -
It's by far my favorite gift. We are planning a homebirth in May and will be surprised then as to whether we have a boy or girl.

When we were little, Dad used to make signs at Christmas that the FFA kids sold. A couple of years ago Justin drug one out and put it in his yard. Robin and I wanted one so dad made some new cut-outs and I painted them. I could only fit three on the table at once. I have one more to go.
All that is left now is the wording on the sign.

Merry Christmas from The Witcher's!
